  • Gabe’s Birthday Party Cupcakes Sally made healthy, alkaline cupcakes instead of acidic, sugary cake and put candles in Gabe’s so he could blow them out. They were the talk of the party!
  • Health-e-Recipe: Alkaline Doughnuts We used Nathan’s Brownie recipe, and we patted the dough mixture just up to the level of the pan. We baked it in the oven at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. After cooling, we iced the top with the frosting recipe.

We made some, and the boys really liked it. For one batch, we mixed some garlic, basil, oregano and salt together and sprinkled it over the bread before we baked it. That really added some extra flavor.

  • Health-e-Recipe: “Cinless” Cinnamon Rolls “Cinless” Cinnamon Rolls are made with ingredients that will have very little impact on blood sugars. Our two type 1 diabetic boys eat them with almost no change in blood sugars. These are part of a natural, healthy approach to managing diabetes, the diabetic-alkaline lifestyle.
  • Health-e-Recipe: Raw Thai Toss Enjoy this refreshing raw salad as a main or side dish. You can leave out the nuts for a lighter version, but they do add great nutritional value to the salad with their healthy oils and minerals. This salad is so colorful and delicious!
