Controlling Diabetes at Food Chain Top. When you are eating at the top of the food chain, you are essentially eating whatever that animal ate, or that to which a plant was exposed. There is a level of accumulation that occurs in our bodies that is not so easily remedied. Persistent organic pollutants (POPs), for example hang around in our bodies for decades. Each exposure adds a little bit more to the accumulation.
If you eat a diseased malnourished animal that was shot full of antibiotics and growth hormones, and fed GMO grains that were sprayed with pesticides, will it benefit you and your health? It may actually be detrimental in the long run.
You are also eating whatever that plant may have been exposed to during its life. If it was raised in a pesticide-laden, toxic environment, and watered with polluted water, chances are you are ingesting some of those same poisons.
When we are eating at the top of the food chain we should take more precautions, because our environment, internal and external, indoors and outdoors, has reached a point of inescapable concern. Taking healthy measures to minimize your exposure and keep your body’s detoxification systems functioning optimally can be of great benefit to long term health and blood sugar control.
In our downloadable, printable special report on the Environment, Diabetes and Health, we present evidence that demands action, and we give you the tools to take action by natural means. This is one of the five pillars in the Health-e-Solutions lifestyle that supports thriving health and better blood sugar control.
