I Finally Feel Like All This IS Worth It!
Health-e-Solutions comment: Let’s face it. Lifestyle change is hard. But this IS worth it! Our entire culture is centered around what is fast and convenient. Uunfortunately, that has resulted in unhealthy lifestyles, increasing autoimmune diseases and chronic conditions.
Type 1 diabetes is one of the many autoimmune diseases that are increasing rapidly. Tragically, most newly diagnosed individuals are told to eat whatever they want and dose insulin accordingly. The problem is that it is virtually impossible to “guesstimate” the proper insulin dose for a high-carb meal typical of the western lifestyle. More importantly, nobody should be eating the typical western diet. It is unhealthy at best.
The following inspirational note was from a mother of a boy with type 1 diabetes. She understands the long term consequences that may arise by following the typical western lifestyle. She has taken the road less traveled to master diabetes in the healthiest way possible.
“Just returned from a doctor appointment with [our son who has type 1 diabetes]… In 3 months, [our son] has gone from a 5.9 A1C to a 5.6. He was 11 at diagnosis a year ago. In 3 months, he also gained 3 pounds and grew 3 inches. Since he was diagnosed he has gained nearly 8 pounds!! Thank you, Health-e-Solutions!! 🙂 I finally feel like all this IS worth it!” *

Lifestyle transformation takes time and work, but it is so worth it! It is worth the effort for the child with type 1 diabetes. It is worth the effort for the rest of the family too. We tell people we are eating for our future generations, because the science of epigenetics shows us that what we do – how we eat and live – can have an impact on several future generations. We hope our children will do the same so that our future generations will start off healthier than we did.
It is time to reverse the epigenetic trend toward disease. It is work, but this IS worth it!
Put your body in a position of strength by promoting, supporting and creating health. Poor health feeds poor health in a vicious cycle, or negative feedback loop that is increasingly difficult to break the longer it runs. Improving health creates a positive feedback loop instead. Get tools and solutions to help minimize consequences and maximize benefits for nutrition, environment, exercise, sleep and stress management. These five health components make up the five pillars of health and nutrition in the Health-e-Solutions lifestyle. We’ll teach you how to improve each of these areas to help you master diabetes in the healthiest way possible.
