We love getting notes about other people’s success with the Health-e-Solutions lifestyle. This is a compilation of a couple of notes that came to us from a family in Montana. They purchased one of our recipe e-Books, and just from the recipe e-book they have experienced significant improvements – and answered prayer:
“I wanted to drop a quick note to tell you about the wonderful results that [our daughter], Emily has had to date with the [Health-e-Solutions] lifestyle she has adopted by way of yourcookbooks.
“When Emily was diagnosed in March of 2010, she had a triglyceride count of 1127 (yes, you read that right!), cholesterol of 327, glucose at 3+, and ketones at 2+. Her potassium was low, and her HbA1c was 16.6. She was losing big chunks of hair as well. Her thyroid was very swollen, and so I thought IT must have been the problem, and took her to a naturopath, who didn’t actually catch the diabetes, but sent us to the hospital for further testing. I’m so glad she did! We were able to improve much of what was wrong through the use of insulin, but in doing so Emily began to experience frequent lows and gained about 20 lbs.
“When we discovered, or should I say, “were led”, to healthesolutions.com through a local radio program and began to fix meals for Emily from your cookbooks, she quickly lost 10 lbs. You can imagine how this makes my 18 year old daughter feel. She sleeps much better and wakes up very energetic, and her insulin usage dropped dramatically.
“Emily continues to do well, but has had to add 13 units of humalog back in to her daily routine along with the 15 units of lantus that she continued to use. (We’ve found that young ladies’ blood sugars are often adversely affected during their monthly cycle, and that could be part of the higher numbers.) In looking at Emily’s hospital records from her original diagnosis, she was prescribed 18 units of lantus per day, and about 18 humulin, so there hasn’t been the dramatic difference that we saw when first on #TheRomanDiet. However, I can’t remember the last time that she had a low, and at her last check-up about a month or so ago her HbA1c was around 6.8 – not perfect, but much improved. So, all-in-all, we are very thankful for #TheRomanDiet, and feel that it has been answered prayer in our management of Emily’s diabetes.” *
